General information
We are pleased to welcome you to La Caille, to our farm campsite (6 pitches on 1.5 hectares) or to our group accommodation (28 beds). The reception works on the principle of self-management (of its waste for example), the inhabitants carrying out this activity voluntarily. At La Caille, the atmosphere is family and friendly. The calm is appreciated, which does not exclude being able to party, but respecting the tranquility of the inhabitants and other visitors (did you take the time to browse the “about” section?).
Pets: please ask for our prior agreement, in order to guarantee good cohabitation with other animals (and children!).
La Caille is a member of the Accueil Paysan network.
Languages spoken: French, English, Dutch, German.
Activities at The Caille
- For the little ones: playhouses, paddling pool in the shade, sandpit, swings...
- For older children: table tennis, volleyball court, pétanque, stilts...
- Opportunities to help in the garden (vegetable patch), look after the animals, etc.
- Create your own doll in the Cocoon workshop!
- A treasure hunt or a simple walk along the Chamaron, the stream that runs alongside the grounds.
- For the lucky ones: wood-fired pancakes and pizzas, cooked over the campfire and in our bread oven!

- Numerous hiking and cycling routes
- All the fresh produce you need, even without having to drive!
- Organic shop L'Échoppe, a 15 min walk through the woods. Also a cafe, often with live music on Friday evenings. Local produce: vegetables from the market garden of Jardin de La Mhotte, bread, cheese, kombucha!
- La Panetière organic bakery in Saint-Menoux, 10 min. by bike
- Bourbon-L'Archambault organic market every Saturday morning, 5 km away
- Wild swimming in the Allier (20 km away), while waiting to dig a natural swimming pond at La Caille one day...
